Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki are one of the famous Korean couples whose relationship turned from reel to real. After making everyone fall in love with their television series, "Descendants of the Sun," in 2016, they then make their fans' hearts melt when they get married in October 2017. Now that they are living together, the two have nothing but good words for each other.
Song Joong Ki graced the cover of Esquire Magazine's September issue. In the accompanying interview, the 33-year-old star gushed about his wife, Song Hye Kyo.
"In the past, someone I know told me that being able to find a wife you can love forever is a gift of destiny," Song Joong Ki said, per Soompi. The "Running Man" host believes that the "greatest thing man can do is to love his woman." It is what he probably does to Song Hye Kyo.
Song Joong Ki also added some men might be busy reaching their goals of fame and fortune. But for him, the most beautiful thing in the world is to be a man who can love his woman unchangingly.
Song Joong Ki revealed his love for Song Hye Kyo stays the same. Although they already got married, they still go out on a date. "I still feel like we're dating," he said. He also praised his wife's timeless beauty and added, "Honestly, my wife is so pretty."
Song Hye Kyo, on the other hand, revealed the time she realized she was already in love with Song Jong Ki. In a letter the 36-year-old actress posted online before they got married, she revealed how things started between them.
"Joong Ki and I were first co-workers who matched well," Song Hye Kyo said, per Koreaboo. While doing "Descendants of the Sun," the "Full House" star noticed they have "similar values and ideas." She, too, could tell him everything at the time.
Song Jong Ki was as a good co-worker and a friend of Song Hye Kyo. From here, everything started. Song Hye Kyo went on to say they often talk and went out together to know each other more.
"Joong Ki showed me his true self, trust, and his manners for a long time," Song Hye Kyo said. She then realized it would be nice if she would spend her future with him. Aside from their similarities, Song Joong Ki could also feel her real emotions. "That's when I knew that he was the one," she added.
Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo tied the knot in October 2017 in an intimate, grand wedding. Now, the two are back to the small screen after a brief hiatus following their marriage.
