A report over a year ago claimed Ellen DeGeneres and Charlize Theron got into a fight over Portia de Rossi. This claim, however, has been debunked last year and proved that it is false until now.
RadarOnline reported on September 25, 2017, that DeGeneres was worried as her wife is working with Theron on the fifth season of Netflix's "Arrested Development." She reportedly found out that Theron is a "bad influence" to de Rossi.
"Ellen knows Charlize and finds her controlling and brash, and worries how she'll influence Portia. She knows Portia is like putty and adapts to whomever she's hanging out with," an alleged source said.
The tipster of the outlet further contends, "She really looks up to Charlize and loves her salty language. Ellen showed up on the set when Charlize guest-starred before," the untraceable insider said, and added, "You can bet she'll be poking her head around again, keeping an eye on things during any of Charlize and Portia's scenes together this season."
According to Gossip Cop, it was not clear if Theron was really involved in the Netflix series at the time the article was published last year. On the third season of "Arrested Development" in 2005, Theron was a guest star on the series, but there's no indication she will be returning.
Now, time has already shown that the actress never appeared on the fifth season of the series when it started streaming last May. Hence, the claim of the blog wasn't true at all, and a source close to DeGeneres had laughed off the issue.
There are also circumstances over the past year that proved DeGeneres and Theron never got into a fight.
For instance, Theron appeared on DeGeneres' talk show last April to promote her movie, Tully. During the interview, the talk show host told the actress that she and de Rossi had watched the movie together. If ever the two really had a fight, DeGeneres would never invite the actress on her show, and she wouldn't also watch Theron's movie with de Rossi.
As per Gossip Cop, RadarOnline has been making claims regarding DeGeneres and de Rossi's relationship. For example, Star - the sister publication of the outlet - claimed last November that the couple will be getting a "$400 million divorce." Another sister blog of the outlet, National Enquirer, claimed in May that DeGeneres and de Rossi were in the middle of "marriage crisis."
But until now, the spouses are still happy together, and there's no evidence Theron comes between them.
