"The Big Bang Theory" Season 12 will be the final installment of the long-running American sitcom, and it breaks everyone's heart. As the news surprised fans all over the world, Kaley Cuoco revealed the cast and crew are also left brokenhearted. She is even more than willing to do the series for 20 years more.

"It's broken my heart. I am so sad that it's ending," Kuoco told Extra about "The Big Bang Theory" Season 12's ending. "For the record, I would have done 20 more years."

Cuoco thought CBS was only joking when it said "The Big Bang Theory" Season 12 would be their final stint. But when they noticed it was not a prank, they all moved to tears. "I think we were all hoping for a giant 'Bazinga!'" she said.

However, "The Big Bang Theory" Season 12 may not be the end for the group of nerd friends. There are rumors the show's co-creator, writer, and producer Chuck Lorre eyes to do a spinoff of Cuoco's character as Penny.

Although Cuoco admitted she has no idea about the potential "Penny" spinoff after "The Big Bang Theory" Season 12 yet, she would be on board if it indeed happens. She even said that if Lorre calls him to do "something" immediately, she would gladly do so.

There are also rumors "The Big Bang Theory" Season 12 would come to an end because Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon Cooper's role, did not want to be a part of the show anymore. An alleged source said, via Celebrity Insider, the 45-year-old actor wanted to explore his career, and the network has no intention to continue the show without one of its lead characters.

Parson did not give any comment about the issue that surrounds "The Big Bang Theory" Season 12's ending. But he gave his gratitude to all his co-stars for the wonderful years they have worked together to make the comedy series a big success instead.

Meanwhile, in spite of Cuoco's sadness over the ending of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 12, the "8 Simple Rules" star already has an idea how would the show end. The actress admitted she is now finding it hard to climb the stairs for 12 years. So she would love the idea of ending the show in the lift.

"I would like the elevator to get fixed," Cuoco recently told James Corden in his "The Late Late Show" about "The Big Bang Theory" Season 12's ending, per Metro News. She explained that it feels exhausting to climb the stairs as the seasons continue.

In the first two seasons, they used to run up to the stairs. But now they are aging they feel the difficulty of climbing it. So fixing the elevator in "The Big Bang Theory" Season 12's finale would be a great idea for Cuoco.
