Singer and songwriter Rihanna became a victim of a robbery after thieves trespassed in her home in Hollywood and stole some of her belongings. Now, her ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown, could not help but worry about her safety.

It came to light when a source revealed to Hollywood Life that Chris Brown is said to be furious that his ex-girlfriend's home was burglarized for the second time around. Thus, he decided to investigate the case himself alongside his security team.

"Chris is willing to do whatever it takes to protect Rihanna," an unnamed source said. "He feels like if he can help her somehow, be her knight in shining armor, maybe then [he] can prove himself to her and begin to fix some of the things that went wrong between them over the years," the source added.

Despite what has happened between them in the past, Chris Brown still wishes he could be there for Rihanna all the time to protect her. The source added: "[He] realizes he may never win her back, but he is still eager to take care of her when he can. He still has a lot of love for her."

This comes days after it was reported that the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a break-in and burglary at the home of the "Where Have You Been" singer, which occurred while she was away.

According to Jeff Lee, a public information officer for the Los Angeles Police Department, that three black males fled the location before officers arriving. The identity of the suspects are still unknown.

"Just like any other burglary, officers will sift through video surveillance to identify these guys," Jeff Lee said in an interview with USA TODAY. "And if there is no luck they will release the videos to the public to identify responsible parties," he added.

Back in May, the 30-year-old singer-songwriter's six-bedroom home in Hollywood Hills was burglarized by a 26-year-old Eduardo Leon of Fullerton. The suspect even stayed at the property for more than 12 hours before he was arrested and charged with stalking, first-degree residential burglary, vandalism, and resisting arrest.

In other news, Rihanna is said to be busy working on her upcoming ninth studio album, her follow-up to 2016's "Anti." Not much is known about it, other than it will be a reggae record inspired by Jamaican singer-songwriter, Bob Marley.
