A new report claims Scarlett Johansson is pressuring Colin Jost to get married. However, this claim has been debunked and proved it's "not true" at all.
The latest issue of In Touch magazine claims Johansson strongly pushes the "Weekend Update" co-anchor and "Saturday Night Live" head writer to tie the knot. This story started because of how they dressed during the 70th annual Emmy Awards two weeks ago, which Jost co-hosted. The outlet contends, "With her long white gown and his formal tux, lovebirds Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost looked like a bride and groom as they walked the red carpet."
The alleged "source" of the tabloid quoted, "She wants to lock Colin down as soon as possible," and further added, "He's in love with Scarlett, but she's not the easiest person to be with." The untraceable tipster also claimed Johansson is "really needy and demanding" when she is in a relationship, and that she wanted to be "completely worshipped."
Also, Johansson reportedly has "diva ways," the reason why Jost don't propose to her. "Her behavior is bound to wear thin. So when it comes to Colin taking the plunge, I wouldn't hold my breath," the alleged insider continues.
According to Gossip Cop, if Johansson was really "not the easiest person to be with," "needy," and "demanding," Jost would have never dated her in the first place. A friend of Jost also said the latest claim of In Touch is "not true."
The two started dating back in May 2017. And although it's possible the two would tie the knot in the future, it can be recalled Johansson was very vocal regarding the difficulties of marriage and monogamy.
"Being married is different than not being married, and anybody who tells you that it's the same is lying. It changes things. I have friends who were together for 10 years and then decided to get married, and I'll ask them on their wedding day or right after if it's different, and it always is. It is," Johansson said. "It's a beautiful responsibility, but it's a responsibility."
She also expressed that marriage is "a lot of work" and that relationships become "different" right after one weds. Based on her remarks back then, it's unlikely that she is pressuring Jost to be engaged and get married as soon as possible, considering her first two marriages to Ryan Reynolds and Roman Dauriac ended in divorce.
