Former "Counting On" stars Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard have not been part of her family's reality show for almost a year, and how the couple is making money and supporting their family is a lingering question among fans. Whenever anyone brings up Dillard's employment, he always claims to have a job but never says exactly what it is.
According to Celebrity Insider, Derick Dillard lost his job on "Counting On" after he went on a Twitter rant against transgender teen Jazz Jennings, star of "I Am Jazz." He got so obsessed with insulting the teen that TLC eventually fired him, and Duggar decided to leave the show to stand by her husband.
Derick Dillard has claimed that the network did not fire him, and instead he and Duggar decided to leave the show, but TLC issued a statement making it clear that they had terminated him and wanted zero affiliation with the controversial father-of-two.
Since he was fired from the show, Derick Dillard has continued to go after people on social media, including the survivors of the Parkland school shooting and Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent, who host TLC's Nate and Jeremiah By Design.
When it comes down to it, Derick Dillard is uber-conservative, but he comes across consistently finding new ways to offend people.
So, what has Derick Dillard been doing since losing his reality TV gig? Not working or making money. But for some reason, this family just cannot admit that he does npt have a job. He is currently attending law school, which is not easy and a ton of work, but it is not a paying job.
But, in Duggar's latest Instagram post, she says that her husband is always out working.
"Love this man! He gets up early to head out before traffic gets bad, works all day, then comes home after most people and puts more energy to invest in our boys and me!" Duggar wrote in the caption of a photo of Dillard with their oldest son, Israel.
She added, "You're still my fave!" and included eye-rolling hashtags like #forevermine, #imsoinlove, #manofmydreams, and #gratefulwifey."
As rumor point out, if Derick Dillard does not have a job and his family is living off her family's money, it is not a crime. But, it is odd that he and his wife are so against admitting he does not work.
Several of Jill Duggar's followers did call her out for saying that Derick Dillard works all day. Once flat out said he does not work, while another said full-time college is not a job.
