Blake Lively and Victoria Beckham are teaming up on a fashion line, according to the report in one of this week's tabloids. But, this claim is likely false, and the two weren't teaming up on any fashion lines.
Recently, Lively recalled 'downing' jello shots with Beckham at an LA Galaxy football game several years back. She opened up about the time they spent together, and then what happened when the shots came out.
This interview prompted NW Magazine to create a story about Lively and Beckham collaborating on a business endeavor. The magazine claims "the designer has turned to the actress to help improve her fashion empire."
"Victoria is savvy enough to realize a merger or at least some high-profile partnerships are the best way to go here, and who better than Blake as a sidekick?" said the alleged insider of the magazine. "They get on great and Posh really admires Blake's style and down-to-earth approach. Right now, she's drawing up an ambitious list of targets and possible collaborators, and Blake's at the very top."
According to Gossip Cop, the claim of the publication comes from an "imaginary source." A rep for Beckham confirmed the report was not true. The two aren't teaming up on any fashion projects, and the report is just simply fictional.
It can be recalled that Lively shut down her short-lived lifestyle brand Preserve back in 2015, wherein she admits she didn't accomplish what she set out to do.
"We launched the site before it was ready, and it never caught up to its original mission," the actress said to Vogue. "It's not making a difference in people's lives, whether superficially or in a meaningful way."
Since then, Lively focused on her acting career and has not attempted to launch another lifestyle brand.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time NW Magazine made a story about Beckham's career. Gossip Cop busted the magazine last month for claiming Beckham was planning to make a fashion-themed reality show.
"[Victoria] would love to get a fashion show off the ground, much like 'Project Runway,'" the alleged tipster of the tabloid said at that time. But, a spokesperson for Beckham denied the claim.
The same publication also reported last December that Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds were "headed for a split." Until now, the two are still happily married and still very much together. It's clear to say, as per Gossip Cop, that NW Magazine has no insight into the personal and professional lives of either Lively or Beckham.
