"Food Wars" just aired its third season earlier this year, and fans are excited for the future of the show. Many of them believe it is headed in the right direction. J.C Staff will now be producing the fourth season of the show, and that is exactly what every fan wants to know about. Note that this post contains a lot of spoilers.

First things first, "Food Wars" Season 4 will have a naming pattern similar to its predecessors. As viewers all know, the second season was called, Ni no Sara (Second Plate), the third was called San no Sara (Third Plate), and the fourth will be called Yon no Sara (Fourth Plate).

According to Toribaze, Yon no Sara will probably not air as early as this year. The manga is not that far ahead of the anime right now. As already mentioned earlier by various reports, the third season adapted up to chapter 217 of the Shokugeki no Soma manga. So for the time being, it is unlikely for "Food Wars" Season 4 to be announced.

Considering every possibility, it is very likely for "Food Wars" Season 4 to have a release date that is either summer 2019 or fall 2019. The show has a history of coming out in the summer, so it is a possibility that the new season will be coming out in June. This makes a lot more sense, though. In case fans cannot wait that long, they can read it online. The chances of them getting impressed by Yuto Tsukuda's work are high.

After the Central arc, "Food Wars" Season 4 will then transition into the Promotional arc, as heavily implied by the anime's new trailer, Comic Book reports. During this plotline, the remaining members of the Totsuki rebel faction will have to fight for their position against Central's new Elite Ten.

The majority of the teaser and this key visual involve snow, and the "Promotions Exams" arc sees the surviving rebels of Totsuki go against the Central's new Elite Ten in a series of even more aggressive challenges to stay in school while riding a train in the mountains. Most of those scenes take place during snowstorms, so they must be featured heavily in the upcoming season as well.

"Food Wars" Season 4 is expected to dish out a lot of challenges as both sides try to knock each other out and send the opposing team packing. As usual, Soma will uphold the creativity of cooking rather than follow the strict technicality that most chefs are rigidly following. The character has always been a beacon of thinking outside the box, following a perspective that doesn't conform to the well-established path.
