Things are starting to heat up. A new report suggests there is a feud brewing between "The Handmaid's Tale's" co-stars Elisabeth Moss and Joseph Fiennes.
It came to light when the latest issue of Life & Style Magazine claimed that Elisabeth Moss and Joseph Fiennes snubbed each other during a promotional event of Hulu's "The Handmaid's Tale."
"[Elisabeth Moss] was having a blast with Yvonne Strahovski and the rest of the cast, but Joseph refused to join in the fun," an eyewitness revealed to Life & Style Magazine, before adding, "It was a really awkward situation. There's clearly some kind of rivalry or clash of personalities between the two of them."
The eyewitness went on to say that Joseph Fiennes, who is an eighth cousin of Charles, Prince of Wales, was allegedly acting entitled during the said promotional event. He refused to mingle with the other cast members, while Elisabeth Moss was much more outgoing and down-to-earth.
Just days after the report hit the web, Elisabeth Moss' representative (via Gossip Cop) said that there is no truth to these malicious rumors. Both of them are also currently busy gearing up for the much-awaited season 3 of "The Handmaid's Tale."
Aside from Elisabeth Moss and Joseph Fiennes, actors Yvonne Strahovski, Alexis Bledel, Samira Wiley, and OT Fagbenle will all reprise their respective characters in the dystopian drama web television series' upcoming season.
To make things more exciting, Ann Dowd will also be back as Aunt Lydia. The character actually survived the knife attack by Emily (Alexis Bledel), as confirmed by showrunner Bruce Miller (via IndieWire).
"Aunt Lydia doesn't die, [but] she's transformed by this event," showrunner Bruce Miller revealed. "The fact that one of her girls... has literally stabbed her in the back. I think that that alters your workplace feelings on a day-to-day basis... In her case, it makes her double down that she feels like she just wasn't strong enough in her discipline. So she, I think, has decided it's time to get tough," he explained.
As for the plot, there is no word yet on where season three will go, but the season two finale of "The Handmaid's Tale" saw Emily escaping Gilead with June Osborne / Offred's (Elisabeth Moss) newborn baby daughter. The latter decided to stay behind because of her other daughter, Hannah (Jordana Blake).
"The Handmaid's Tale" season 3 is expected to arrive sometime in 2019.
