The entertainment world got shocked when the news emerged that Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin were reportedly expecting their first baby. But the 29-year-old actress' rep confirmed there was no truth to this rumor at all.
After a year together and revealing matching tattoos, TMZ claimed Johnson and Martin had a gender reveal party on October 7 at the Coldplay frontman's home, complete with blue and pink balloons. The "Fifty Shades of Grey" star's parents, Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, graced the event along with A-list stars like Sean Penn and Julia Roberts.
Later, blue balloons flew to the sky that meant Johnson and Martin were expecting a baby boy. But, Jamie Dornan's on-screen partner's representative denied the pregnancy rumor and insisted she is not pregnant, per People.
The alleged "gender reveal" party was the actual celebration of Johnson's birthday, originally on October 4 but moved on October 7. The couple also celebrated their first year anniversary.
Johnson and Martin started dating when they got spotted on a sushi date in Los Angeles in October 2017. Since then, people often saw them out and about.
Us Weekly claimed that Johnson and Martin were officially together in December 2017 when they were seen together in Israel. A source revealed the two's relationship seemed to be serious and not just a fling.
"They've gotten to know each other really well and are very comfortable from one another," an insider told the publication at the time. "Chris sends Dakota his music to get her opinion. It's more than just a fling."
Johnson and Martin remained tight-lip about their romance, but the "Bad Times at the El Royale" actress briefly spoke about it in an interview with Tatler last month. "I'm not going to talk about it," she said. "But I am very happy."
Another source revealed Martin lives in Malibu and Johnson is often seen hanging out there. They occasionally go out for dinner with friends. But they love to stay at home and invite pals over most of the time.
