Keith Urban is not furious over Russell Crowe gushing about his wife Nicole Kidman in interviews, despite the claim of a latest report. This story has been debunked and set straight for the record.
Woman's Day magazine claims Urban doesn't appreciate Crowe's so-called "infatuation" with his wife. Kidman and Crowe will be playing the role of a married couple in the movie Boy Erased. In a recent interview, the actor gushed about his co-star by saying, "I waited a long time to be married to Nicole." Such comments, according to the outlet, aren't sitting well with Urban.
A so-called source of the magazine said Urban is "feeling uneasy about seeing another man drooling over his wife," and further added, "Keith's a mellow, patient guy and he's happy for Nic and Russell to be friends, but some of the comments Russell's been making have been way over the top."
The untraceable insider maintains Urban would appreciate if "Russell toned things down a notch or two." The unknown tipster also noted Urban's "got a protective streak and wants him to cool it with the public declarations of love."
But, according to Gossip Cop, the publication only tries to make a "baseless" love triangle. The truth is, Crowe and Kidman have been friends for more than 30 years now. The stars first met back in the '80s while they are traveling in the same social circles, and they've remained close friends since then. The actor also becomes a good friend with Urban. In fact, Urban surprised fans in Vancouver by bringing Crowe on stage to perform a few songs with him in 2011.
Regardless, a rep for Urban said that this issue is a "total nonsense." He isn't really furious or upset about Crowe complimenting Kidman in interviews. The tabloid is only making stories to tie the three and make it seem like one of the actress's random co-stars is getting under her husband's skin. Crowe has been a good friend with Kidman, and Urban know him really well.
Meanwhile, Woman's Day has been busted several times for making stories regarding the relationship of Urban and Kidman. In April, the tabloid claimed the marriage of the two was "over."
"They're getting set to fight for custody of their two daughters, nine-year-old Sunday and seven-year-old Faith." said the alleged source at that time. "It's heartbreaking but it's been a long time coming."
But still, the spouses are still happy together. Hence, this latest claim involving Crowe is fabricated as well.
