Matt Damon convinced his friend Ben Affleck to dump Playboy model Shauna Sexton, according to a new report. However, this claim comes from an unnamed "source," and Damon's camp corrected this story, saying this report is untrue.

RadarOnline claims Damon wants his friend Affleck to be "healthier" without Sexton, referring the model as a "party girl fling." The tabloid maintains Affleck "came to his senses and dumped" Sexton after a "long chat with Matt."

"Ben's friends were blown away that he would have the nerve to take a 22-year-old Playmate, who's just a fling, to his newly ex-wife's house where his kids sleep," said an alleged source of the outlet, and further contends that friends of Affleck felt what he did was "wrong" and "gross," but that it "finally registered with Ben," who then broke up with Sexton.

According to Gossip Cop, this report is not true and inaccurate. Damon's camp also said this entire story is "crazy."

What's suspicious about the claim is that the tabloid maintains it was Damon who convinced Affleck to dump Sexton, but before that story, the outlet claims the reason why the actor and the model broke up was because of Jennifer Garner. The headline of the article even declared, "Reason For Split? Jen Slammed Ben's Romantic Getaway With Ex Shauna." Hence, its claim about Damon contradicted its prior story about Garner.

It's also worth noting that the tabloid previously reported Damon "dumped" Affleck while he was in the rehab. The publication claimed at that time that the pals "don't talk that much at all and rehab is something Affleck is going to have to do all alone." The relationship of the two allegedly "deteriorated" and Damon would "not be by his side" going forward.

However, the site never noted the two have production company Pearl Street Films, which has some projects in development. It's clear to say that they aren't only just close pals, they are also business partners.

Additionally, the same tabloid also failed to mention its claim whether Affleck and Sexton got engaged while in Montana. Gossip Cop busted this report, where it also maintained the actor was planning to propose to the model after his rehab stint.

"Affleck is ready to pop the question," said the so-called source at that time and added, "Shauna's full on board with it." But, a rep for the actor denied the claim and confirmed Affleck's not marrying Sexton in rehab or the "moment he's home."

Therefore, as per Gossip Cop, the tabloid is only making stories about Affleck's personal life without fact-checking its articles.
