A gossip magazine claimed Jada Pinkett and Will Smith stop loving each other and only like one another as a colleague. The stuff they do together is just for their family and for the kids, but nothing romantic is going on between them.
A so-called source even said that Jada Pinkett and Will Smith stay in the same house together, but could remain not talking to each other. "They allow each other the freedom to do what they want - with who they want - as long as they don't get caught," the insider added.
The tipster went on to say Jada Pinkett and Will Smith's alleged open marriage is very "unconventional." They, too, are very "casual" and "relaxed" about it. So there is no divorce happening amid their situation. And although they seemed unmarried, they are happy with their stand.
But Gossip Cop revealed the gossip magazine's claim is not true at all. A source close to Jada Pinkett even said that the story about the 47-year-old actress and Will Smith is "nonsense."
The alleged "open marriage" Jada Pinkett and Will Smith have come from the "Gotham" star's interview with HuffPost Live in 2013. "I've always told Will, 'You can do whatever you want as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and be OK,'" she said.
From here, there are a lot of assumptions that Jada Pinkett and Will Smith have an open marriage. But the two proved that they are just in another level of relationship.
Will Smith confirmed to "Tidal's Rap Radar" podcast, via CNN, that he and Jada Pinkett are not married anymore because they call themselves as "life partners." It is a place where he feels like he would be with someone for the rest of his life.
Will Smith explained there is nothing that could break their relationship anymore, even if Jada Pinkett does anything. The 50-year-old actor added that he would give his all-out support to his wife until his death.
Will Smith also talked about the rumors that he and Jada Pinkett are planning for divorce. He said people should stop this gossip and start minding their own business.
Jada Pinkett, on the other hand, confirmed that they would never split. The couple got married in December 1997 and has two kids, Jaden, 19 and Willow, 17. Will Smith also has a son from prior marriage named Trey, 25.
