Apple has another event scheduled on Oct. 30 though it has yet to be known what consumer should expect. Only consumer technology reporters are invited at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Howard Gilman Opera House in New York although some have some sort of an idea on what to expect.
The only thing sure is that the event will not show any iPhones since these mobile phones were already gained plenty of attention back in September. Hence, the logical ones that should come out point to the new iPad Pro models and perhaps some MacBook updates.
Some hints were included in the invitation that carried the tagline "There's more in the making." Different Apple logo designs on the invitations as well.
With 2018 winding down, most are eager to see if there are new gadgets or product refreshes on the horizon. Most anticipate a refreshed iPad Pro line, carrying some of the features the iPhone XS series had recently.
This includes seeing a tablet with no Home button, a wider screen with slimmer bezels and perhaps even an improved camera system that hints at the integration of advanced biometric features as Face ID. The next iPad Pro is expected to continue using an LCD display screen unless Apple, for some reason, decides to upgrade them to OLED. But as most know, such a move would mean a jump in prices, something already witnessed by most in the iPhone XS series, Mac Rumors said.
A sensible change could see the next iPad Pro models making use of a USB-C port instead of the Lightning port. Should this happen, most will be eager to find out if the tablets will make use of some special connector with the 3.5 mm headphone jack possibly taken out.
There is also the possibility of seeing new MacBooks on Oct. 30. 12-inch MacBooks are reportedly in the works and there are murmurs of the company developing low-cost notebooks for the masses with a Retina display. This low-cost notebook could be an updated MacBook Air.
Another device which direly needs an update is the MacBook Mini, something that has not been refreshed since 2014. Other than these, it will be interesting what other surprises Apple has up its sleeve.
Hopefully, Apple can give more details on the event which is set to start at 10:00 a.m. ET on Oct. 30. CNN tried to get in touch with the Cupertino company and a response has yet to be made. If none is made, it may be best to wait a bit more to see what bombshell awaits curious Apple loyalists.
