A story claiming Selena Gomez was "shocked" and "never imagined" her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber will be marrying Hailey Baldwin is not true. HollywoodLife, the site claimed the story, also reported Gomez wanted Bieber and Baldwin to "get married soon" and she's "happy" when the two got married, which makes this latest article fabricated.
Still, the tabloid maintained although Gomez was aware of the engagement of Bieber and Baldwin, she thought they would never make it down the aisle. The blog then cited a "source close to Gomez" to make the story seems to be legitimate, by saying, "Selena was in complete shock when she heard that Justin and Hailey actually followed through with their marriage... She never thought in a million years that Justin would actually do it."
According to Gossip Cop, the tabloid is only making false claims about Gomez, Bieber, as well as Baldwin. The outlet claimed back in July that the singer wanted the two to "get married soon." The site once again cited an untraceable "source close to Gomez" who asserted the singer wants the wedding to be done as soon as possible so that it will be "a done deal in her rear-view mirror." This report wasn't even mentioned in their latest claim, making both stories to be entirely fabricated.
But still, the tabloid reported just last month that Gomez felt really "happy" upon hearing the news that Bieber and Baldwin got married. In this article, the unidentifiable tipster claimed the singer feels she can now finally move on as her ex-boyfriend was now married to another woman. Then again, that claim was different from their story now.
The truth is, as per Gossip Cop, the tabloid is only making stories about Gomez and Bieber without fact-checking their articles and the majority of the outlet's stories are contradicting each other. With their latest story, it's not true that Gomez was "shocked" and "never imagined" Bieber will be marrying Baldwin, given the fact that it contradicts with their previous reports.
It's also worth noting that Gomez told Billboard before that "Hollywood Life is the worst" and she discussed gossip sites that are making stories about her almost every day. Bieber also slammed the tabloid back on June 15, 2016, where he posted a photo on Instagram asking for a petition to shut down the "garbage website."
