After teasing his new upcoming album and BTS renewed its contract with BigHit Entertainment, RM finally dropped his solo mixtape, titled "Mono," on Monday, October 22. The LP has seven new tracks, and fans could not help but go berserk on Twitter about it.
Although fans love all the tracks in RM's new mixtape, the second song, titled "Seoul," is making the BTS fans go crazy. According to Hollywood Life, this particular tune is what the group leader had been teasing on Twitter a couple of months ago.
Now that fans have the chance to listen to the song, they could not get over from the emotional track. One fan said that he has been looking forward to hearing RM's new track for so long. Another one described the BTS member's tune "beautiful," and he has no idea how to explain its beauty in its entirety. I'm already in love with it, Namjoon did it again," the fan added.
Before the release, RM announced the coming of his new mixtape, "Mono," after he got voted as the "best leader in Kpop" on Friday, October 19, per Metro News. BigHit Entertainment also shared the news on Twitter and shared the sites where fans could hear the BTS member's new album.
The tweet now has more than 173,000 likes and 90,040 retweets as of this writing. A lot of fans are excited to hear RM's new mixtape, "Mono."
Fans would once again hear RM's incredible talent in singing and rapping as the mixtape's seven new tracks feature "poppy numbers and slow jams." It also features the BTS leader's collaboration with other international artists.
"Mono's" second track, "Seoul," is produced by Honne. The fourth and sixth songs, "Bad Eye" and "Pass By," are in collaboration with eAeon and NELL, respectively. RM's new mixtape is available on Soundcloud, Spotify, and iTunes.
Meanwhile, fans don't have to worry that some members of BTS have their solo mixtapes. This move doesn't mean that the group is going solo. V, J-Hope, RM, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, and Suga would stay as a band, would continue to make music together, and would be around for a long while.
BTS just renewed its contract with BigHit Entertainment for another seven years. "We respect our mentor, producer [and Big Hit founder] Bang Si-Hyuk who has continued to show us a vision for our future from even before debut and have helped us form our perspective of the world and music," the boys said, via Billboard. "With Big Hit Entertainment's support, we'll continue to strive to give our best for fans all around the world."
