After Niall Horan and Liam Payne seemed to be hopeful that there would be a One Direction reunion, Louis Tomlinson made a comment that broke a lot of fans' hearts. In an episode of "The X-Factor" on Saturday, October 20, the 26-year-old star said that he wanted to move on from his band, referring to their group, which made their followers really upset.

While helping "The X-Factor" contestant, Brenda Murray, he told Louis Tomlinson that he also joined a boy band when he was 16-years-old. The competitor went on to say that he felt disappointed they failed to become successful, to which the judge sympathized.

"I get it," Louis Tomlinson told "The X-Factor" challenger, per Billboard. "I used to be in a band. You want to move on from it." The songwriter referred to his band, One Direction, and his words clearly surprised the fans.

Fans never thought Louis Tomlinson considered being with One Direction a thing of the past. They were also shocked that he said he wanted to move on from the group when all they desired is to have a reunion.

Hence, a lot of fans went berserk on Twitter and even mad with Louis Tomlinson's comments. "I'm actually mad," one fan said. According to Planet Radio, two supporters even asked the "Back To You" hitmaker to remove his bio that said he is "¼ of One Direction." "Change your bio king. Your bio says otherwise," some of the comments about him read.

To recall, One Direction started on "The X-Factor" in 2010. From here, they started to be known and conquered the world with their music. They then went on hiatus in December 2015 to make way to Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Zayn Malik to have their solo careers. But they still remain to be hopeful that they would be reunited once again someday.

Liam Payne revealed, via Capital FM, that all members of One Direction are planning to "get back together at some point in the future. "There is definitely [a chance]," he said.

Liam Payne went on to say that he and Louis Tomlinson met for something that he could not reveal yet. The 25-year-old star added that he has been in touch with Niall Horan and Harry Styles. So he believed it would be a good idea if they get reunited "in time."

Aside from Liam Payne, Niall Horan also talked about the idea of a One Direction reunion. The 25-year-old singer earlier revealed that the boys still keep in touch all the time, so the group is "very much still there."

Niall Horan assured that there is no doubt there would be a One Direction reunion, although he is not yet sure when it would happen. "But it'll definitely happen," he said.
