Marvel keeps its lip sealed about the much-awaited "Avengers 4," but little details about the film emerge here and there. A new artbook related to the film said to tease the movie's official synopsis while one of its executive producers hinted a surprising character's appearance.
Executive producer Michael Grillo unconsciously revealed at the recent Austin Film Festival that a "Doctor Strange" character would appear in "Avengers 4." While talking about the movie's filming schedule, he surprisingly talked about Tilda Swinton. "When we got Tilda Swinton, she was just a 1-day availability," he said, via Slash Film.
Tilda Swinton played the role of Stephen Strange's (Benedict Cumberbatch) mentor, The Ancient One, in "Doctor Strange." But she got killed by Kaecillus (Mads Mikkelsen) when the villain stabbed her with one his weapons and sent her back to Earth. So what would be her role in "Avengers 4?"
It is not yet revealed what would be Tilda Swinton's role in "Avengers 4." To recall, Frank Grillo also confirmed his appearance in the Marvel sequel as his character Crossbones. Fans would once again see him in flashback, so The Ancient One might also appear in the movie in the same manner. These flashbacks might have a connection with the Avengers' future or might be a time travel to fix what Tanos has done in "Avengers: Infinity War."
Meanwhile, a new listing on Amazon for the "Avengers 4" artbook seems to tease the movie's synopsis. Titled "The Road to Avengers 4 Marvel Cinematic Universe," it has the same style as "The Road to Avengers: Infinity War," which was unveiled before "Avengers: Infinity War" release.
According to Comic Book, the artbook contains behind-the-scenes look, interviews, photos, and concept artwork of "Avengers 4." Its description, on the other hand, revealed that the fourth installment in the movie franchise would be a "culmination of 22 interconnected films and will let audiences witness the turning point of this epic journey."
Ironically, the artbook's synopsis is the same plotline which "Avengers 4" allegedly have that Licensing Magazine revealed. Its title, "The Road to Avengers 4," also seems to imply that Marvel may surely use this description in the movie.
The words "turning point," too seem to suggest that "Avengers 4" will take a new direction. As new heroes are about to come to replace the original Avengers, it may take a different route. Alternatively, the "fragile reality" may mean that the film may feature time travel or different realities. Also, "sacrifices" may suggest that someone or some of them may die.
