It is not April Fool's Day. What most people celebrate now is Halloween. But celebrity watchers have once again been recently fooled. Justin Bieber was not the one who just went against the proper burrito etiquette.
The guys behind the YouTube group called Yes Theory exposed their prank through a video they posted on October 29. The video was entitled "We Fooled the Internet w/ Fake Justin Bieber Burrito Photo." Through this video, they confessed everything they did from the creation of the plan to the execution of it up to the ways they did so that the photo will go viral. Everything in the video created more buzz to fans and haters and made the internet even crazier.
Through the uploaded video, the group revealed that they were the one responsible for the viral photo. According to them, everything was staged. They even hired two people for this to happen. These include an old lady to cause traffic so that more people can witness their prank and Bieber's look-alike Canadian model Brad Sousa to eat a burrito like a "corn on a cob" as stated by TMZ.
The video also detailed how they prepared Sousa to look exactly like the present 'Menie Meenie' singer from his hairstyle, mannerisms to his fashion. After all the plans and preparation, photos were captured, posted and became available for everyone to see.
The news about how weird Bieber was in eating his burrito went mega-viral in just a few hours after the photo was posted to different online newspapers and blogs. A lot of online entertainment news publishers were hooked by the prank thinking how the singer committed this ridiculous crime against this food. Everyone seems to be fooled except for one.
As posted on ELLE, Scooter Braun, the 'Love Yourself' singer's manager, shared how he was able to see right through the photo and figured out that the man on it wasn't his boy. "First of all, I know what he looks like. Number 2, I found it very amusing because I had so many people hitting me [up] saying, why is your boy eating a burrito like this?"
Braun also added that at first, he pretended to be fooled by the prank. He even got to share his insights about the photo on Instagram. Several minutes after posting, he decided to eventually delete his post. That was when the prankster's manager decided to call him and explain everything up.
