Blake Shelton told Mariah Carey that "I Got the Sheriff" reminded him of Gwen Stefani. "This is my lake song," he said. "Me and Gwen go out on the lake in the pontoon and pretend we're actually out on the ocean."
Although some fans didn't exactly get "I Got the Sheriff" connection with their outing, they found it romantic that Blake Shelton remembered Gwen Stefani with just a song's title. It only proved that the "I Lived It" hitmaker was truly head over heels for the No Doubt's former frontwoman.
