Ariana Grande allegedly made Kristin Chenoweth jealous because she steals the spotlight during the NBC's "A Very Wicked Halloween," a new report claims. However, this story has been debunked which is completely untrue.
The original stars of the hit Broadway musical 'Wicked,' Chenoweth and Idina Menzel, reunited for a televised concert to feature the songs from the show in celebration of its 15th anniversary. The pre-taped special aired on Monday night featuring many special guests, such as Ariana Grande. Now, Naughty Gossip claims Chenoweth becomes jealous as Grande got the attention of the majority.
The outlet contends that the show's producers weren't sure if Grande will show up as she recently broke up with Pete Davidson, so everyone becomes excited as soon as she arrived on the set. The alleged source of the tabloid further asserted that Chenoweth didn't know what to do, she thought it was going to be her night since she was one of the originals witches in the show.
Grande allegedly out-sing Chenoweth, the unknown tipster added, and after her split with Davidson, the audience had her back when she stepped onto the stage at the Marquis Theatre. Then, the publication concluded that the night was "all about" Grande.
However, according to Gossip Cop, the outlet forgot to mention that Chenoweth gushed about Grande. She previously revealed she'd known her since she was just nine years old and she considers the singer as her own family. Additionally, before the TV special, the Broadway star said in an interview with E! News that she's been waiting for that moment she knew would happen.
In 2016, Chenoweth and Grande also worked on "Hairspray Live!" The Broadway star said the singer is a complete professional, she's taking her work seriously, but she also knows how to have fun as well. A source close to Chenoweth also confirmed to Gossip Cop that the claim of Naughty Gossip is not true at all. The legitimate insider even said the Broadway star knew the singer for long and they adore each other.
It's also worth mentioning that Chenoweth gave Grande a shout out on Twitter during the broadcast last Monday night, wherein she praises her by saying words like Grande rocking the #Wicked green. Later on that night as well, the Broadway star retweeted a video of the singer performing the hit track. Therefore, the claim of the tabloid that Chenoweth is jealous of Grande is only fabricated.
