A new report claims Ben Affleck is planning to date Meghan Markle's friend, Janina Gavankar, who is his co-star in the upcoming film, Torrance. But, this story claiming the two getting cozy on set has been debunked and corrected.
Woman's Day Australia reported earlier this week that Affleck is flirting with Gavankar while they were on set of Torrance, where she plays his ex-wife. The publication noted that the actor was smitten with the actress and finding ways on how to impress her. This claim, however, is only based from on untraceable source as a rep for Affleck confirmed the report was only fabricated.
But still, In Touch magazine decided to keep the story to create another report. The so-called insider of the tabloid made a new angle by claiming Gavankar is one of Markle's closest friends. Both of them met 15 years ago while they were pursuing their acting career, and Gavankar also attended the royal wedding of Markle and Prince Harry back in May. So, the outlet comes up with something to make the story interesting where it declares in the headline, "Ben Cozies Up To Meghan's BFF!"
The unnamed source of the magazine then contends Affleck becomes attracted to Gavankar not just because she's sexy, but also because she has all the qualities the actor likes, such as being a good actress and being hardworking. Additionally, she's a singer and a performer who reminds him of his ex-fiance, Jennifer Lopez. Gavankar is reportedly not in a relationship with anyone at the moment, so the source claims dating Affleck is possible.
"He's definitely interested. Pretty soon he could be double-dating with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex!" the source continues saying.
But then again, a spokesperson for Affleck dismissed the report and shut down the romance rumor surrounding the two. The truth is, according to Gossip Cop, the actor is only making a movie with the actress who happens to be Markle's friend, but there isn't a spark happening on set.
It can be noted that In Touch also has a record of making false claims on the personal life of the actor. Just last July, the tabloid has been busted for reporting Affleck is planning to marry Lindsay Shookus so he can finally start a family with her, but the two broke up on the following month. Hence, this latest claim about the actor planning to date Markle's friend is baseless as well.
