On Monday, the Spice Girls released details on their 2019 UK reunion tour, but without Victoria Beckham. The English pop girl group, which was formed in 1994, will take the stage in six cities across Britain this coming 2019, starting in Manchester on June 1 and ending at Wembley two weeks later.

Earlier this year, all five members of Spice Girls announced their plans to perform once again for the first time since 2012. However, news started to emerge that Beckham (Posh Spice) will not be joining the reunion tour, and she declined to take part - so the band comes to a four-piece on the reunion tour. In 2016, expected comeback with the three bandmates was anticipated as well, failed to materialize.

Now, in the newly-created Twitter account of Spice Girls, a video was shared featuring the four remaining members where they pretended to be in a news broadcast room to confirm their tour. And then, they began to sing one of their old songs.

According to the South China Morning Post, Spice Girls sold 85 million albums worldwide, where only two of their 11 singles didn't reach number one on the British charts - but their first three singles all hit the US top five. The pop group became popular in the 1990s, but they split in 2000 and reunited in 2007 for a world tour. They performed together once again during the closing ceremony at the London 2012 Olympics and then collaborated for the launch of the Spice Girls musical Viva Forever.

Meanwhile, Holly Shorthall - who is a huge fan of Spice Girls from Dublin - said Beckman not being included in the reunion tour is "disappointing in two ways." First, it's disappointing Beckham chose not to join the tour. And second, it's disappointing the four remaining girls decided to go ahead without Beckham.

But, before their announcement, Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) left the door open to Beckham for getting involved. In Britain's ITV interview, Brown said only the four of them fully confirmed in the reunion tour, but she's hoping Beckham would join them at some point.

"She's got a full-on life with all of her work commitments and her fashion line and her kids, so, she's just kind of not committing just yet," Brown said. But, a source from Entertainment Tonight said Beckham would not take part on the reunion tour simply because she has a family to look after and a business to run.

The ticket for the reunion tour will go on sale this Saturday at 10:30 am.
