Apple recently released its latest version of the operating system - the iOS 12, which offers a lot of exciting new features for the iPhone, iPod, and iPad users. It also fixed the battery health issue of the previous version, which is the iOS 11.
The version of iOS 12.1 added new 70 emojis with a tighter security of the device. It also brought bug fixes, including Group FaceTime. But users are more thrilled to have a public release of the iOS 12.0.1 jailbreak, or the iOS 12 itself. To this date, there is still no update about it, but it doesn't mean that it's not coming out sooner or later.
According to Billionaire 365, Korean user Ahn Ki Chan wrote on Twitter that developer Kudima, or known as BigD (who is infamous in the jailbreaking world) has a WebKit RCE, which exploits to the GitHub repository. Thus, the iOS 12 jailbreak is relatively positive.
As per Chan, the submitted WebKit RCE possesses detailed annotations and exploits - something that impressed famous security researcher Niklas B. Kudima is known for submitting useful exploits, which he did in August when he had the WebKit exploit intended for the iOs 11.4.1 jailbreak.
Some developers and security researchers though previously concluded that while the iOS 11 jailbreak succeeded, it may not be as easier as the iOS 12 jailbreak. Developer @nullriver wrote on Twitter that Apple has been doing its best to make iOS 12 trickier to set free. The tech giant produced a CoreTrust framework on its new software, responsible for checking and validating every signature to ensure that they come straight from Apple.
Apple also ensures that iOS 12 works well with the new A12 Bionic Chip, which is one of the major reasons why developers and researchers have been a having a tough time in having an iOS 12 jailbreak. Although users may have to wait a little while to jailbreak their iPads or iPhones, developers are now hard at work to finally deliver the iOS 12 jailbreak.
Developers like Luca Todesco recently announced what he found out about the iOS 12, which he suggested that it can still see the light of day following the Yalu developer's hacked demos on Apple's newest operating system. An Electra member also said that there is still hope that a jailbreak for the iOS 12 will soon be released after the new software went public.
Kudima's newly submitted WebKit RCE for the iOs 12.0.1 may not be out as fast as everyone wants it to be, but it's already a great start to jailbreak a stock Apple device with the iOS 12 version.
