Breaking News: Song Joong Ki, Song Hye Kyo Devoice Rumors Come Ture, Song-Song Couple Ending Their Marriage
Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki return to the small screen after their hiatus following their marriage. Unfortunately, the "Descendants of the Sun" stars will not be working together as they are set to have their respective projects. As a lot of fans have missed them, here is what the Song-Song couple is up to today.
Song Joong Ki gets reunited with his "Descendants of the Sun" co-star, Kim Ji Won. The two are about to lead tvN's upcoming Korean drama series with a tentative title, "Asadal." Aside from Song Hye Kyo's husband, "Asadal" will also feature big stars in the industry like Jang Dong Gun and Kim Ok Bin, per Channel News Asia.
According to Soompi, "Asadal" is a fantasy historical drama that will tell the story of love, harmony, and divergence set in the fictional land of Asadal. Song Joong Ki's upcoming Korean drama will be written by Kim Young Hyun and Park Sang Yeon, who are also behind the successes of "The Great Queen Seon Deok," "Tree with Deep Roots," and "Six Flying Dragons." It will also get directed by the "Incomplete Life," "Signal," and "My Ahjussi" director Kim Won Suk.
Song Joong Ki will play the role of Eun Sum in "Asadal." In the series, he was born with a blue star's energy that will bring disaster into the place. Kim Ji Won, on the other hand, will take the role of Tan Ya, who was born with the same destiny, while Jang Dong Gun will portray the character of Ta Gon. He is a hero that will help the city win its victory. The show will be out on tvN in 2019.
Alternatively, Song Joong Ki's better half, Song Hye Kyo, will work with Park Bo Gum in another upcoming Korean drama, "Encounter." First titled as "Boyfriend," the show will tell the story of a love between two different persons.
Song Hye Kyo will play the role of Cha Soo Hyun, a woman who never experiences to live for herself while Park Bo Gum will portray Kim Jin Hyuk. He is a man who has a free and pure soul that differ the personality of Song Jong Ki's wife's character.
"Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo Gum's romance that started in an unfamiliar place through a chance encounter will make viewers' hearts beat fast," the "Encounter" production team described the show. The much-awaited Korean drama series will hit the small screens on November 28.
