Music lovers are in for a treat. It looks like South Korean boy band BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, might have some new music with English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran on the way.
On Nov. 19, Monday, Ed Sheeran took some time off his busy schedule for a sit-down interview with Heat World. During his interview, the 27-year-old singer-songwriter answered fans' questions about his future projects.
"I want BTS x Ed Sheeran [collaboration] but when will they ever," one fan asked. Ed Sheeran, then, replied, "I actually wrote a song that I think they [BTS] might be messing with. I heard this the other day. I don't know. I really like BTS though, I think they're great."
While nothing is officially set in stone yet, fans have been expressing their excitement over Twitter. One fan even claimed that Ed Sheeran and BTS' collaboration would be one of the biggest collaboration in the music industry.
ED SHEERAN REALLY SAID HE WROTE A SONG BTS MIGHT BE MESSING WITH??? ED SHEERAN X BTS IS PROBABLY HAPPENING SOON AND I DON'T THINK I'M EMOTIONALLY STABLE FOR IT BUT I JUST CAN'T WAIT, IT'S TOO BEAUTIFUL TO BE REAL

In other related news, BTS continue to live up to their reputation as the popular K-pop idols across the globe. The seven-member boy band's documentary film, "Burn the Stage: the Movie," has sold the highest-ever number of tickets for an event cinema release.
"Bun the Stage: the Movie," which features live performances, award show highlights, off-stage moments, and interviews with the seven members - RM (whose real name is Kim Nam Joon), Jimin (whose real name is Park Ji Min), V (whose real name is Kim Tae Hyung), J-Hope (whose real name is Jung Ho Seok), Suga (whose real name is Min Yoon Gi), Jungkook (whose real name is Jeon Jung Kook) and Jin (whose real name is Kim Seok Jin) - , has sold more than 1.4 million tickets, according to distributor Trafalgar Releasing, as cited by Variety.
The numbers bested the previous event cinema record held by English-Irish pop music band, One Direction, with their "One Direction: Where We Are - The Concert Film" film. The said documentary film, which features a one-on-one interview with the members, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson, with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, only recorded 1.2 million admissions.
"This unmissable cinema event ['Burn the Stage: the Movie' provides an intimate look at what happens when the most successful global boyband of all time breaks down barriers and invades the mainstream music scene," the press release reads.
