JTBC's "The Third Charm" wrapped up its run last Nov. 16 with a rating of 3.07 percent. Following its successful run, lead actress Esom shared her honest thoughts about what it is like to work with actor Seo Kang Joon.

In an interview with Korean newsoutlet OSEN, as cited by Soompi, Esom said she and Seo Kang Joon immediately became comfortable with each other on the first day of filming. Some staff members thought they had already been filming together for a month.

"Seo Kang Joon is very detailed and he's really good at acting," Esom, whose real name is Lee So Young, added. "I learned a lot by watching him... There was [also] a time when we talked for seven hours at a café. That helped me learn a lot. Discussing and thinking helped a lot. These are things that I can't learn anywhere else, so I value them."

Esom, then, shared her most memorable scene from the 16-episode JTBC drama. The scene she cannot forget was the one where her character, Lee Young Jae and On Joon Young (Seo Kang Joon), met again after a couple of years - only to call it quits and go their separate ways.

"The Third Charm" follows the one-of-a-kind love story of Lee Young Jae and On Joon Young who unexpectedly met on a group blind date. The former is a spontaneous yet emotional woman, while the latter is a meticulous and principled university student who never deviates from his perfectly scheduled routines.

Although Esom is glad she met the entire cast and staff of the JTBC drama, the 28-year-old actress-model is now ready to take a step forward. She will star next in Yook Sang Hyo's upcoming film, "My Special Brother" (tentative title).

In the upcoming film, Esom will play a heartwarming doctor named Mi Hyun. She treats Se Ha (Shin Ha Kyun) and Dong Goo (Lee Kwang Soo) and eventually helps them get out into the world.

Also starring in "My Special Brother" are veteran actors Park Chul Min ("Too Hot to Die" and "Brothers in Heaven"), Kwon Hae Hyo ("The Vanished" and "On the Beach at Night Alone"), Kil Hae Yeon ("The Mimic" and "In Her Place"). Hip hop artist Andup has also been cast in an undisclosed role.

"My Special Brother," helmed by Yook Sang Hyo, is set to open in theaters across South Korea in 2019.
