In total, per Koreaboo, G-Dragon has 138 concerts from 2015 until he got enlisted. A chart for the South Korean artists' biggest tours also noted that Big Bang got the top ranks from 2013 to 2017. The rapper had a very busy schedule for over four years, combining all of these commitments.
Big Bang also performed a total of 66 shows in 2015 to 2016 for their "Made Tour" and 24 shows for "0.TO.10" tour from 2016 to 2017, among others. With all these works, G-Dragon might not have the chance to get enough rest, sleep, and eat properly with all the practices, preparations, and performances for the show.
So, fans believed that G-Dragon's enlistment is good for him to take a rest and a break from the music industry. They also said that he should take things easy while he still could.
