Is Margot Robbie going to be a mother soon? This is the question that lingers on many fans' minds after it was reported that the 28-year-old actress is pregnant, and expecting her first child with husband, Tom Ackerley.

The pregnancy rumors started when Tom Ackerley was spotted placing his hands on Margot Robbie's tummy on a golf course in Los Angeles earlier this month. The latest issue of OK! Australia Magazine, then, concluded that the protective gesture only means the latter is pregnant with her first child.

Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley, however, will not be sharing the supposed baby news anytime soon. Instead, they will make the announcement once they are ready for it.

"They're both very excited, but they're also fiercely private, so they'll make the announcement once they feel ready," an insider revealed to OK! Australia Magazine, as quoted by Gossip Cop, before adding, "[Margot Robbie] has cleared her filming schedule for the months ahead."

Not long after it came to light, Gossip Cop immediately debunked the report and stressed that the entire narrative is baseless. While the "Suicide Squad" star has been open about her desire to have a large family, she and his husband are not yet ready to have a baby.

It is also worth noting that Margot Robbie has several lined-up projects.  She will lend her voice to the upcoming animation film, "The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part," and will star next as Sharon Tate, a pregnant actress married to director Roman Polanski, in the upcoming mystery crime film titled "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood."

She has also been tapped to headline Miles Joris-Peyrafitte's upcoming drama thriller film, "Dreamland." After that, she will join Nicole Kidman and Charlize Theron in the upcoming drama film, "Fair and Balance," which is directed by Jay Roach.

In addition to that, Margot Robbie is currently preparing for the hugely anticipated "Harley Quinn" spin-off. The official title is "The Birds of Prey," and it follows Harley Quinn as she assembles a girl gang of friends to take on a bad guy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

She will be joined by Ewen McGregor as Black Mask (a Batman villain), Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Rosie Perez Renee Montoya, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary and Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain.

"The Birds of Prey," directed by Cathy Yan, is set to open in theaters across the United States on Feb. 7, 2020.
