During the respective friendlies of Brazil and France at the international break, Neymar and Mbappe were forced off with knocks. Paris Saint-Germain was able to confirm that the pair are required to do more medical tests before the massive Champions League tie with Liverpool.

The severity of Neymar and Mbappe's injuries were already addressed but PSG has since released an update to confirm the knocks are not that serious. Unfortunately, the Ligue 1 champions were able to reveal the star duo will undergo an upcoming period of treatment before determining whether their participation will be allowed in facing Liverpool on November 28.

According to Goal, PSG confirmed in a brief medical statement that Neymar has been diagnosed with "a right adductor strain", while the latter has "a bruised right shoulder". The club even updated, "They will undergo a 48-hour period of treatment before further evaluation."

In line with this, Neymar was reportedly withdrawn just eight minutes into the clash of Brazil against Cameroon. France star Mbappe, on the other hand, was forced out after 30 minutes against Uruguay. Brazil still managed to win 1-0 despite the situation. It was thanks to the goal from Richarlison. He was the one who replaced Neymar while France had the edge against Uruguay by the same scoreline, which happened following the Olivier Giroud penalty.

Moreover, PSG is set to place over 100 percent league record on the line as they host Toulouse at the Parc des Princes. The event is expected to happen on Saturday. So far, Thomas Tuchel's team manages to win all 13 of their league matches. They opened up a remarkable 13-point lead over second-placed Lille.

One disadvantage is that they are not as comfortable in the Champions League. Aside from this, their forthcoming game against Liverpool will be a significant factor as they decide who will reach the knockout phase. At the moment, PSG is currently third in Group C and is, unfortunately, a point behind both Napoli and Liverpool. It can be recalled how they can only consider just two games remaining in the group phase of Europe's premier club competition.

Furthermore, they will host beaten finalists of last season's Liverpool. On December 11, they are set to lock horns with Serbian outfit Red Star Belgrade in their last pool fixture. One cannot deny how lethal Neymar and Mbappe are for PSG this season after scoring 13 goals apiece in all competitions.
