Scarlett Johansson is not pressuring her boyfriend Colin Jost to quit "Saturday Night Live" so he can focus more on their relationship, despite the claim of the latest report. This story was confirmed to be completely fabricated.
Star magazine's latest issue declares, "Scar-Jo Tells Colin: It's Me Or Your Career," and the accompanying article claims the actress has a demanding scheduled and she wants Jost to make a big compromise if he wanted to settle down with her - which includes quitting SNL. Johansson allegedly wants to travel with her boyfriend while she's shooting films, and they can't do it if he's also busy doing his things.
The so-called source of the tabloid asserted long distance relationship isn't good for them, so Jost needs to choose between leaving the show and giving all his time to Johansson. Allegedly, he's seriously considering quitting as SNL's head writer and "Weekend Update" anchor because he loves his girlfriend more than anything else and he's willing to give up almost everything for her.
But, according to Gossip Cop, the claim of Star magazine is simply false and fabricated. First, Johansson currently has only one project lined up, the standalone film of her Avengers character Black Widow. At the moment, the film is under development, and it does not have a production start date yet, so it's unlikely the actress is going on different locations, opposed to the tabloid's claim. Also, the actress is living in New York, where SNL is being taped.
And regardless, a source close to the situation confirmed to Gossip Cop that the outlet's claim is simply made-up and a pure fiction. Johansson is not pressuring Jost to quit SNL just to have more time for her and to focus on their relationship.
The two had a date night last week at the American Museum of Natural History Gala, where the show other SNL casts, such as Aidy Bryant, Cecily Strong, Leslie Jones, and Pete Davidson. The couple looked very happy while posing together on the red carpet and the actress enjoyed the night by spending time with Jost's colleagues. Moreover, the actress has been seen several times attending after parties of the show.
As per Gossip Cop, Star magazine has little to no insight regarding the relationship between the two. Just last year, the tabloid wrongly reported Jost proposed to Johansson, but it has been more than a year since that was reported and the two didn't announce they were already engaged.
