"Red Dead Redemption 2's" successful launch is enough of a reason for the game developers are Rockstar Games to pat themselves on the back, But it seems that the studio best known for the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise is not satisfied with what it has achieved. While multiplayer has always been part of the plan, it seems that Rockstar Games has players doubly excited for the "Red Dead Online" beta experience.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" gamers are now celebrating the coming of "Red Dead Online" with Reddit user u/FrostyFreezy recently posting a short video of "Red Dead Redemption 2" protagonist Arthur Morgan walking around town as a pirate. Aside from the obvious word play of a "Captain Morgan" in "Red Dead Redemption 2" being appreciated by the other Reddit users, the post has now garnered at least 15,000 likes as of this publication. Other Reddit users exclaim surprise at the availability of the pirate sword with some user mentioning that particularly obscure items such as a Viking helmet and axe can actually be found in game.

The excitement over u/FrostyFreezy's post highligts the fact that "Red Dead Online" will feature the possibility for players to create their own characters using the game's character customization system. Such flexibility in character creation means that players may eventually run into a rival posse dressed thematically and just as silly as u/Frosty Freezy's Captain Morgan when "Red Dead Online" goes live.

Rockstar Games notes that "Red Dead Online" players can expect to experience cooperative missions available through the game's non-player characters, or simply brawl with other gangs and posses through public events. In addition to the group-oriented quests, the "Red Dead Online" experience will also add online-only treasure that can be hunted down by multiplayer groups. This can present an opportunity for players and posses to engage in fights over multiplayer content.

But combat between players and posses is not the only interaction that players can expect to engage within "Red Dead Online." Despite the great potential for player versus player content, posses and players can also trade goods with other groups and individuals if they prefer a more peaceful existence in "Red Dead Online."

According to GameSpot, the "Red Dead Online" beta will first be available to owners of "Red Dead Redemption 2 Ultimate Edition" by Nov. 27. Launch day players will be able to access the "Red Dead Online" beta on Nov. 28. October players of "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be able to join the beta by Nov. 29, while the rest of the game owners will have access to the "Red Dead Online" beta by Nov. 30.

Rockstar Games sets the expectation that "Red Dead Online" may have its initial issues during the beta period but it intends to let players collaborate with the studio in creating a pleasant experience for the full release of "Red Dead Online." The studio is not expecting a pleasant ride through its beta period but knowing that they want to focus on enriching the "Red Dead Online" experience is something fans will have to keep in mind once the "Red Dead Online" Beta access has started. "Red Dead Online" fans looking forward to playing online with their friends and other gamers from around the world will require a PlayStation Plus account to participate in online multiplayer.
