Fans are now wondering when they will see their favorite "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals" characters now that its third chapter, "Legacies," has begun. In an interview with the new series' lead star, Danielle Rose Russell, she revealed that although viewers' favorite vampires and humans are yet to appear, they would take them to some familiar places.

Unfortunately, fans are yet to see Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) in "Legacies." But they will be taken back to Mystic Falls and other iconic locations in "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals."

"We're on the same stages, so there are a couple of sets from 'The Originals' that we're going to revisit very soon," Danielle Rose Russell told TVLine. "In a few more episodes, you'll see some very familiar locations."

Originally, "The Originals" was set in New Orleans, where Niklaus (Joseph Morgan) returned in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 4 finale.  Cinema Blend reported that "Legacies" films in both Covington and Conyers.

Local film office's Gina Hartsell earlier said that "Legacies" might not do "major filming" in New Orleans because it is too familiar to fans and people living in the city. But, much of the show's production will be held in Covington as it is Mystic Fall's location. Some of "The Originals" locations will also be in play.

Hartsell explained that "Legacies" major scenes production will be set in different locations in Conyers instead. There will be shots at the Horse Park and different residences, which will depend on the show's scripts.

Talking about "The Originals" and "The Vampire Diaries" characters possible appearance in "Legacies," it may take a little while before it happens. So far, fans already saw the return of Matt (Zach Roerig) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen). However, viewers will like to see Caroline's (Candice King) appearance on the show.

In a different interview, via Comic Book, the series creator Julie Plec admitted that they often mention Caroline's name in the series. Some fans even questioned her absence in "Legacies" as Josie and Lizzie's surrogate mother.

Julie Plec revealed that there is a "long-term mystery" that they are going to unveil in "Legacies." Josie and Lizzie are both related to Kai Parker by blood, so including Caroline in the story may put her in danger.

Fans can now watch the continuation of Hope Mikaelson's story in "Legacies" every Thursday at 9 p.m. on The CW. As viewers see how she controls the power of living as the only tribrid in existence, familiar places and faces may soon appear.
