A new report claims Ben Affleck will be playing a cross-dresser in a movie directed by Matt Damon. Aside from directing it, Damon will also co-star on the said movie which is a "gender-bending comedy" film. This report, however, has been debunked and confirmed there's no such movie on the way.
National Enquirer's article, which was later on posted by RadarOnline, claims Damon came up with the idea for him and his long-time pal to star in a film similar to Some Like it Hot - a 1959 comedy movie about two male musicians disguised as women to hide from the mob.
The alleged source of the outlet asserted Affleck and Damon's characters are bothers in need of money. In the film, Affleck will allegedly become a cross-dresser so he can go into the club of wealthy women, while Damon will coach him through the process. The tabloid also added Damon hopes that, through this movie, he can help his friend's career to be back on track.
However, according to Gossip Cop, this report is pure fiction, and there's no such movie on the way. Despite the claim of the alleged source, a rep for Affleck confirmed the report is complete nonsense. Although it's true the longtime friends will be collaborating on an upcoming movie, it's not about a cross-dressing comedy film.
Affleck will be the one directing a true-crime movie starring Damon, which is about an ex-cop who rigs the McDonald's Monopoly game. All major Hollywood publications confirmed that new project, but none of them reported the two would be starring in a Some Like it Hot-style comedy movie.
Affleck's career doesn't also need of saving, and he wrapped shooting the thriller movies The Last Thing He Wanted and Triple Frontier - directed by Oscar-nominated directors. As of the moment, the actor is filming Torrance, a movie about addiction, and there are several movies in development.
Meanwhile, National Enquirer and RadarOnline have been publishing false reports about Damon not being friends with Affleck anymore. In April, National Enquirer reported Damon replaced Affleck, and his new best friend now is Chis Hemsworth. He allegedly replaced his longtime pal as he wanted to save his reputation.
While just earlier this month, RadarOnline claims Damon has been distancing himself from Affleck after the actor's latest stint in the rehab. The outlet alleged Damon was tired being dragged by his pal's issues. Both claims, however, were proved to be untrue.
