After eight years, fans are still shipping for Yonghwa and Seohyun to be romantically together. The CNBLUE and Girls' Generation's member got virtually married in 2010 for MBC's "We Got Married," it seemed like fans still haven't moved on.
In "We Got Married," fans would have the chance to see their favorite idols live together like a real couple for some time. One of them was Yonghwa and Seohyun, also known as Goguma couple or YongSeo.
Although they started awkwardly, Yonghwa and Seohyun eventually got close and bonded over their love of music. As they seemed to develop their feelings, they began to act and fight like a real husband and wife.
According to Koreaboo, with their sweet chemistry, fans also started to love Yonghwa and Seohyun. They even rooted for the two to be together in real life. "We Got Married" viewers also loved to see them in cute and sweet situations like they were in a true relationship.
Aside from "We Got Married," Yonghwa and Seohyun also graced MBC's "Music Core" as its MCs. They even sang "Banmal," a song they composed together, on stage.
However, because of their busy schedules, their stint on "We Got Married" ended in 2011. Yonghwa and Seohyun went on their separate ways, but it never stopped their fans to continuously ship for them.
Fans who supported Yonghwa and Seohyun even created fansites solely for them. It even ran for years as they are continuously hoping that they would end up with each other.
In 2013, rumors had it that Yonghwa and Seohyun were in a relationship when fans learned that they lived in the same building. The CNBLUE member confirmed on "Radio Star" in 2014 that he and the Girls' Generation singer were indeed in the same complex, but never had a romance.
Yonghwa also cleared the rumors that he used Seohyun's car, explaining that they had same license plate numbers. So, he once thought that her vehicle was his.
Unfortunately, Seohyun also shut the fans' hope that she and the "Heartstrings" star would possibly be together, per Soompi. In an episode of KBS's "Happy Together," she answered "no" when asked if she had feelings for Yonghwa.
Seohyun didn't further explain her answer about Yonghaw, and instead talked about her ideal man, who turned out to be Yoo Jae Suk. But despite their revelations and refusals, they couldn't control fans who still wanted to see them together.
