Rockstar Games is not done giving "Red Dead Online" players enough good news to be excited about. Coming at the heels of a few concerns about the "Red Dead Online's" current in-game economy, Rockstar Games has promised a significant update to come by the end of the second week of beta testing. But it seems that such changes to the game's economy is being overshadowed by a potentially new game mode that has players excited if it turns out to be true.
According to VG 24/7, "Red Dead Online" players on Reddit recently spotted a new game mode that seems to have made its way into the multiplayer menu. Reddit user u/donajello1 posted a picture of the "Red Dead Online" player menu which featured a new game mode titled "Gun Rush." Unfortunately for fans of "Red Dead Online," VG 24/7 confirms that the leak for the supposed "Red Dead Online" game mode has since disappeared from the game's player menu.
Based on u/donajello1's screenshot, the potentially new "Red Dead Online" game mode will feature both free-for-all formats and a team format. VG 24/7 speculates that the alleged "Red Dead Online" game mode could be similar to a popular mode already present in Rockstar Game's successful multi-player title, "Grand Theft Auto V."
Reddit users on the "Red Dead Online" subreddit have their own guesses as to what the "Gun Rush" game mode could be. Reddit user u/optimus2primex speculates that "Red Dead Online's" "Gun Rush" could be similar to game modes in the "Call of Duty" franchise that give under-performing players better weapons as they respawn.
The leak about the "Gun Rush" game modes comes at a time when Rockstar Games is currently showering good news for "Red Dead Online" players. The game development studio has already updated the in-game economy of "Red Dead Online" to assure players worried about a potential micro-transaction grind once the game launches fully in the future. In addition,
With the in-game economy update affecting most of the item prices within "Red Dead Online," Rockstar Games has also promised refunds for players who have purchased items that have been affected by the price adjustments. To add to the exciting "Red Dead Online" alpha experience, Rockstar Games has also shared free in-game currency which players can hope to receive by Dec. 14.
Fans of "Red Dead Online" who are excited to try out the potentially upcoming "Gun Rush" game mode can hopefully experience a full deployment by the end of this week, or the start of the next. If the new game mode turns out to be true, "Red Dead Online" players have more chances to stock up on their current cash reserves through a larger variety of game modes before the game's official launch.
