Lucasfilm and Disney remain tightlipped about the upcoming "Star Wars: Episode IX." But thanks to some spoilers and theories, fans get some update about the film's possible plot and turn out of events. According to the rumor mill, Ed Sheeran may have a cameo role in the movie while new elite Stormtrooper will be introduced.
The fan site Making Star Wars revealed that a Red Dead Trooper is about to be introduced in "Star Wars: Episode IX." The information is said to be from the people involved in the film's productions, sources from Pinewood Studios, and marketing presentation attendees.
However, fans shouldn't confuse the Red Dead Trooper with the red pilots from "Star Wars: Resistance." Based on its name, "Star Wars: Episode IX" new elite stormtrooper has red attire with black stripes. These fighters can also reportedly fight both on the ground and in the air.
According to the Dork Side of the Force, the Red Dead Trooper has a differently designed helmet compared to the usual stormtroopers. However, it remains to be seen what it will look like. It is also a big puzzle if they will be around the whole "Star Wars: Episode IX" plays or just for a few seconds.
Aside from the Red Dead Trooper's introduction, Flickering Myth noted some of "Star Wars: Episode IX" spoilers. There are reports that there will be three new locations - a Swamp World, Desert World, and Jungle World. Knights of Ren will also make an appearance along with the coming of Lando (Billy Dee Williams). The latter may bring the new class of First Order Stormtrooper fans will see.
Meanwhile, Comic Book reported that Ed Sheeran would have a cameo role in "Star Wars: Episode IX." Just like the usual A-list celebrities who have cameo roles in the film, the 27-year-old performer will don a Stormtrooper suit.
Allegedly, Ed Sheeran is "suiting up" to do a couple of scenes for "Star Wars: Episode IX" at Pinewood Studios. However, fans should only take this rumor with a grain of salt as neither Lucasfilm nor Disney has yet to confirm the news.
Some of the celebrities that took the role of Stormtroopers were Simon Pegg and Daniel Craig in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Prince William and Prince Harry also reportedly appeared in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" as Stormtroopers along with Tom Hardy and Gary Barlow. So, fans have to have those eagle eyes to see if Ed Sheeran would indeed appear in "Star Wars: Episode IX."
