"Fallout 76" may not be in the best position right now with Bethesda's significant blunders since the online post-apocalyptic role-playing game's release last month. But recent updates and changes actually reveal that "Fallout 76" players do not hate everything about the game in its current state.

According to PC Gamer, a recent glitch for the "Fallout 76" public event called "Feed The People" has been providing all players in a server rewards for other players' efforts in accomplishing the event's tasks. The reward for accomplishing the event is aptly a can of stew, which player would find in their inventory after the "Feed The People" event is accomplished. The glitch was recently fixed by the latest patch for "Fallout 76" which also added push-to-talk functionality for the PC version.

Kotaku notes that players feel that the "Fallout 76" glitch was particularly thematic for the event. The publication mentions that the reveal of the reward's nature as a bug caught a significant number of "Fallout 76" players unaware. Based on the event's title, most "Fallout 76" players assumed that accomplishing the event allowed them to also help other players on the server through the canned meat stew reward.

Both publications note that "Fallout 76" players on Reddit are now calling on Bethesda to revert the changes to the "Feed The People" event glitch. As of this publication, one of the highest voted comments on the thread by u/NabrenX about reverting the glitch changes mentions the importance of "Fallout 76" quests that impact the whole server to the game's experience.

Some "Fallout 76" players also mention repeating the quest several times as a way to pay forward being able to receive a can of stew from other player's efforts. PC Gamer notes that it seems players have enjoyed the communal impact that the "Feed The People" event glitch has provided as one of the major player concerns is the lack of "a real communal feel" to "Fallout 76" for its non-existent player hubs and global chat.

While Kotaku notes that the social media buzz about the "Feed The People" glitch has been growing amongst "Fallout 76" players, Bethesda has remained quiet about whether the glitch will be reintroduced as a standard feature. Players can only hope that Bethesda is simply considering the rare moment of a positive reaction from "Fallout 76" players before an official statement about the situation will be made.
