Wanna One's agency finally speaks up about the group's imminent disbandment. Swing Entertainment officially released a statement about the band's contract on its fan café on Tuesday, December 18.

Swing Entertainment talked about the expiration date of Wanna One's contract. After long-standing rumors that the group's deal will be extended, the company confirmed it would end on December 31.

"Hello, this is Swing Entertainment. We write to inform you that December 31, 2018, is the date that Wanna One's contract is scheduled to end," the company said, per Soompi. It also put an end to the assumptions that the South Korean boy band's agreement will have an extension after their Dome concert in January 2019.

Swing Entertainment cleared it would continue to manage Wanna One throughout their final promotions in January. During the period, it would also wrap up all of the group's activities like award ceremonies and other planned endeavors after the contract expires.

It then gave its gratitude to Wanna One's 11 members, Kang Daniel, Park Ji-hoon, Lee Dae-hwi, Kim Jae-hwan, Ong Seong-wu, Park Woo-jin, Lai Kuan-lin, Yoon Ji-sung, Hwang Min-hyun, Bae Jin-young, and Ha Sung-woon. Swing Entertainment commended the group for always showing the best of themselves to everyone for the past one year and a half. The band debuted in August 2017.

Swing Entertainment continued to say the agency's staff is doing their very best for the benefit of Wanna One and taking advantage of the remaining moment they have with them. It also promised to continuously cheer for the group on their new journeys.

Swing Entertainment also thanked both local and international fans for loving Wanna One. It then asked for their support and to congratulate the group's members as they end their promotions, and take new career paths.

However, according to AllKpop, fans are confused if it would be better for Wanna One to neither continue their contract nor to end it. But from the looks of it, it will officially conclude by the end of the year.

Wanna One recently released the teaser poster of their farewell concert, "Therefore," after they confirmed their imminent disbandment. The musical event will take place in four days, from January 24 to 27, 2019, at Gocheok SkyDome in Seoul.

Tickets will go on sale starting on December 26 for fan club members via Interpark. General public tickets, on the other hand, will be out starting on December 27.

Before Wanna One officially bids their goodbye, fans will still see them performing at different year-end ceremonies as a group in January. It is scheduled to happen before their final concert.
