FNC Entertainment released an official statement about the issues surrounding Kwon Kwang Jin on Wednesday, December 19. After fans' cries and demands, the agency confirmed the N.Flying bassist is officially leaving the group.

In the statement, FNC Entertainment revealed it wanted to clear the issues surrounding Kwon Kwang Jin, via AllKpop. After having a face-to-face meeting with the people involved, it admitted that some parts of the rumors, which include dating controversy with fans, sexual harassments, and more, are not true.

But, FNC Entertainment confirmed that Kwon Kwang Jin indeed met fans personally outside of N.Flying's official promotional activities. "Regardless of the fact that the meetings were meant to express thanks toward fans, seeking personal relationships with fans no matter what the reason is, is improper behavior for a member of a band," it said.

As a result of the discussion, FNC Entertainment revealed Kwon Kwang Jin decided to voluntarily leave N.Flying. The CNBlue former member will remain out of all of the group's broadcast and promotional activities until the company learns the truth behind the spreading accusations and allegations. He will also "partake in a time of reflection."

In the time FNC Entertainment has confirmed the legitimacy of the spreading online rumors through the face-to-face discussion with all the people involved, it will take a "strict legal action if it proves the online posts are not true. Talking about the N.Flying members, the company reveals there will be no changes to their schedules.

FNC Entertainment also promised that N.Flying will deliver more "mature, well-made music" from now on. The band will continue to promote with its remaining members, Seunghyub, Jaehyun, Cha Hun, and Yoo Hye Seung.

The controversy started when a post in an online community, titled "an idol who sexually harasses fans and dates fan site owners," started to trend on Tuesday, December 18. According to Soompi, the post claimed Kwong Kwang Jin allegedly dated fans since his debut. He even sexually harassed some of his supporters at N.Flying's fan sign events.

The poster also showed N.Flying's "personal anecdotes," making sexually offensive comments about their fans. They are even objectifying their women supporters by evaluating their faces and bodies.

Aside from fans, the post also accused Kwon Wang Jin of speaking bad things about his fellow N.Flying members and their company, NFC Entertainment. So after the post spread online, a lot of fans ask for the 26-year-old star's exit from the group. They even organized a boycott.
