"NCIS" Season 16 is still currently airing and on its 10th episode. With only two more episodes before Season 17 comes, Mark Harmon is once again surrounded by departure rumors because of his alleged deteriorating health.

Mark Harmon is regularly thrown with health rumors. Allegedly, the 67-year-old star's physical condition is failing due to knee surgery and lost around 20 pounds. Because of these medical issues, he will reportedly leave "NCIS."

Mark Harmon has been a part of "NCIS" since it debuted in 2003. So, it may be a big heartbreak if fans see him leave. It is even not the first time that the actor is said to be leaving the series.

According to CinemaBlend, before "NCIS" Season 16 starts, there are also rumors that Mark Harmon will leave the show due to an alleged health scare. However, fans still see their favorite NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs in the series.

So to stop all the rumors, Mark Harmon's rep reached Page Six and confirmed the veteran actor would never leave "NCIS." The alleged medical problems are not true, and the report about his departure is "completely false." However, CBS has yet to give its comments about the issue.

It is also unbelievable Mark Harmon will leave "NCIS" as he also serves as its executive producer, along with "NCIS: New Orleans.  He is even about to executive produce an upcoming CBS series based on John Sanford's "Prey" novels.

The last time fans saw a major departure from "NCIS" was when Pauley Perrette left the series this year. She then revealed she suffered physical assaults on the show's set, days after her exit.

Pauley Perrette had been a part of "NCIS" since it started. She was one of the show's original characters. Despite her allegations, she thanked CBS for supporting her. "I want to thank my studio and network CBS. They have always been so good to me and always had my back," she said in a tweet.

With Pauley Perrette's exit, it looks like "NCIS" will continue to survive even without Mark Harmon. The show's Season 16 continues to thrive even without the 49-year-old actress. It even remains to be a popular television series even in her absence.

So if Mark Harmon ever thinks of leaving "NCIS," the show may continuously survive. The show even has a lot of major characters' exit in its 15 years of airing.
