Fans will soon see Lee Seung Gi and Suzy Bae reunited on the small screen with "Vagabond." SBS finally dropped the new Korean drama series' official release date and trailer that would surely make viewers fall on their seats.
"Vagabond" official trailer revealed a series of action-packed scenes and stunts from plane crashes, car chases, and shootouts. It also showed how Lee Seung Gi's character as Cha Dal Gun would dramatically turn from simple to controversial guy, per Soompi.
In "Vagabond," Cha Dal Gun will try his best to solve the mystery behind the plane crash that killed 211, including his nephew. As he uncovers the real reason behind it, he will find himself in the middle of a big political intrigue as he will also expose a great national corruption.
Cha Dun Gan will get the help of the National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent Go Hae Ri (Suzy) as they investigate the plane crash together in "Vagabond." She is the daughter of a marine who got killed during a mission.
Aside from the trailer, SBS also revealed "Vagabond" official release date. In no time, fans will finally see Lee Seung Gi and Suzy's reunion project after "Gu Family Book," AllKpop reported.
SBS also unveiled some still images from "Vagabond" in December 2018. The promotional images showed different faces of Suzy as NIS Go Hae Ri.
According to Business Times, "Vagabond" marks Suzy and Lee Seung Gi's first reunion project after five years. The show also reunites the 31-year-old actor to his "You're All Surrounded" director, Yoo In Sik. The latter, too, get reunited with Giant," "History of the Salaryman," and "Incarnation of Money" scriptwriters Jang Young Chul and Jung Kyung Soon.
Meanwhile, a source from the production company Celltrion Entertainment said "Vagabond" will be a high-quality, classic drama that fans haven't see for years. It will be like no other with its remarkable actors, director, producers, and scriptwriters working hand-in-hand.
"We will touch people's hearts with detailed acting, directing, and writing," the insider said about "Vagabond." "That doesn't leave out anything, from espionage and action to unexpected twists and thrilling moments, to melodrama and humor."
Shin Sung Rok will join Suzy and Lee Seung Gi in "Vagabond" as the National Intelligence Service team leader Ki Tae Woong. The new Korean drama will be out in May on SBS. It will take the network's Wednesday and Thursday time slot.
