The K-Pop world has a new power couple as SM Entertainment confirmed EXO's Kai and BlackPink's Jennie are in a relationship. After the two South Korean idols' picture together circulated online, a dating rumor emerged that surprised everyone.
On January 1, Dispatch, via Soompi, surprised everyone when it revealed a picture of Kai and Jennie together. The two idols from K-Pop group giants were seen driving around Sangam-dong before they made a stop at Haneul Park Mapo-gu in Seoul for a stroll.
They were reportedly walking hand-in-hand while wearing a pair of coat and scarf to brave the winter's cold weather. The photos were said to be from Kai and Jennie's date on November 25.
According to reports, Kai picked Jennie from her dorm. They then went out for a date that allegedly included sweet gestures like holding hands and taking photos.
As the news about Kai and Jennie dating made noise and circulated online, SM Entertainment confirmed to Yonhap News that the two Korean idols are indeed in a relationship. The couple is said to have "positive feelings" toward each other. YG Entertainment, on the other hand, remains mum about it, and neither denied nor confirmed the real deal between the two stars.
Before their alleged November date, Kai and Jennie also spent time together in Paris in October. At the time, the EXO and BlackPink members attended different shows for the Fashion Week.
Jennie attended the Chanel fashion show while Kai went to the Gucci runway exhibit. After that, the 24-year-old actor was also reportedly seen visiting Jenni on December 2 and gave her a gift from his Hawaiian trip with EXO.
As Jennie and Kai's relationship is now confirmed, fans visited the two's social media accounts. Fans noticed that the EXO member's Instagram post on November 25 seemed to be captured from Haneul Park, where he and the "Solo" hitmaker allegedly dated, per Straits Times.
Fans believed Jennie took Kai's photo. So, they filled the post with a lot of comments and congratulated the new couple. However, some of their followers aired their disappointment about the issue.

Jennie also trended in Canada with over 350,000 tweets related to the BlackPink singer. One Twitter user even made a pun saying, Jennie is now not going solo, about her solo debut song, now that she is with Kai.
