EXO's Kai celebrated his 25th birthday on January 14. As the news about him dating Black Pink's Jennie emerged, there is viral photo that showed the "Solo" hitmaker standing in front of his birthday picture. As the image melted a lot of fans' hearts, it looked like the snap was not real.
Fans would never be surprised to see Jennie greeting Kai after their dating news broke at the beginning of the year. So, when they saw a photo that showed the Black Pink lead singer standing in front of the 25-year-old actor's birthday banner, they were left in awe.
Black Pink and EXO's followers even shared the photo to celebrate Kai's birthday and their relationship. So, it quickly went viral. However, they soon realized that the image was not real.

According to Koreaboo, after a series of investigation, fans learned that the photo was perfectly manipulated. Kai's birthday photo was taken by fans, without Jennie in the front.
Jennie's image, on the other hand, was from the photo she uploaded on Instagram when she visited Disneyland France. Someone photoshopped the two's snaps together to make it look like it was real. Although they were duped, fans still found it cute to see an image like that.
At the start of 2019, fans were surprised when the news broke that EXO's Kai and Black Pink's Jennie were dating. The Korean news agency Dispatch, via E! News, started the New Year with a bang by revealing the two singers' romantic photos together while strolling somewhere at night.
The two's outing reportedly happened in November 2018. So, it meant that Kai and Jennie have been dating for a long while before the news broke.
Later, Kai and Jennie were spotted getting into the same car. The publication also showed the similarities between the couple's clothing that they were seen wearing in public for the past few months. Their matching beanies, scarves, shoes, and coats seemed to confirm their relationship.
The photos Kai posted on Instagram in November were also said to be taken by Jennie when they were on a date. Although the two didn't personally confirm their romance yet, SM Entertainment proved the news by releasing an official statement about it. "Kai and Jennie have become fond of each other," the agency said.
Of course, fans also celebrated the news and made noise on Twitter. Some of them said that Jennie won't be "Solo" anymore now that Kai is around.
