Sulli is once again the talk of the town after posting a series of photos of her New Year celebration at home on Instagram. The 24-year-old star gets in another controversy after netizens find her posts weird and absurd. So to air her side, the former f(x) member shared her thoughts about the issue.

In an episode of "Jinri Store" on Tuesday, January 15, Sulli gave an official statement about the controversy she is once again into. "I felt sorry to my friends. They are great people. They're beautiful and nice," she said, via AllKpop. "I wondered why they have to get criticized because of me."

Sulli went on to say that people who are close to her know that she has no bad intentions with what she did. However, she believes that there are others who are stereotyping her. "It's upsetting," she said.

Despite all the criticisms, Sulli stays optimistic and thinks things already changed about her life and it will continue to do so. She also has a lot of people on her side right now, compared to before, because of "Jinri Store."

The controversial photos involved Sulli and her friends as they enjoyed a house party on New Year's Day. "Sulli's house is filled only with love," she captioned one of her posts.

In one snap, Sulli pretended to be pregnant as her friend put his ear on her belly. In another, she pointed and smelled her armpit while a pal was taking her picture.

There was also a photo where her male friend lifted her from behind while she was trying to reach something. Another one showed someone was on top of her, holding her both hands, while she was lying, eyes-closed on the floor.

"I am afraid that other people would imitate her," one fan commented, per the Korea Times. There were also some followers who defended Sulli and said everything she did was part of her private life.

As these photos emerged, the issue about Sulli's mental health once again surfaced. One netizen even asked if anyone knew why the singer was acting like that, to which the actress replied, "What about me?"

Herald Pop asked a psychiatrist to get an expert opinion to understand why Sulli does these controversial things. The medical professional explained that it was all about "social sensitivity" and each person has different levels of it. "So one can have a different perspective on how the public will react to their behavior," the analyst said.

Probably, Sulli never thought that her posts would turn controversial or people would see her acting weird. Another psychiatrist said she is "over-optimistic," and stereotyping her only makes matters worse.
