In celebration of India's 70th Republic Day on Saturday, Amazon and Flipkart dropped notable limited-offer discounts for Xiaomi's customers in the country.

According to India Today, the discounts will end when Amazon's Great Indian sale and Xiaomi's Republic Day sale comes to a close. Despite the limited-period discounts, customers are eager to take a bite of the cheaper phones and TVs.

Among the most popular Xiaomi picks that customers can check out is the Redmi Note 5 Pro. Amazon and Flipkart have both placed a 10 percent off the tag on the smartphone that made its debut in early 2018.

Both Amazon and Flipkart have also allowed for the 10 percent discount to be used on SBI credit cards and HDFC cards. This means the base variant will be available Rs. 9,990 for the next few days. The more advanced variant will now have a price tag of Rs. 11,700.

Xiaomi supporters are encouraged to check out the Amazon Great Indian sale and Flipkart Republic Day sale promos for other discounts on a couple other smartphones and a number of TVs. Amazon's sale ends Tuesday, January 22, while Flipkart's sale ends Wednesday, January 23.

India has been a core supporter of Xiaomi over the past couple of years. This is why the Beijing-based company has been offering Indian customers with reasonable discounts.

Aside from Indian Republic Day discounts, Xiaomi previously reported that the Redmi Note 5 will be sold at a cheaper price in India. To celebrate its success in the country, the tech provider announced that Redmi Note 5 Pro buyers can get the device with up to Rs. 4,000 in discounts.

Gizbot reported that India has purchased over 10 million units (1 crore) from one of China's leading tech giants. It is expected that Indian support will keep increasing this year as rumors about bigger discounts emerge.

It is widely speculated that Xiaomi is not done showing gratitude for Indian customers. Recent reports suggest that the tech giant will release the first budget-friendly smartphone for Indian buyers soon.

Dubbed as the Redmi Go, the new Xiaomi release is expected to run Android Pie Go Edition and come with a 5.9-inch display. Most smartphone analysts believe that the Redmi Go will most likely be priced at less than Rs. 5,000.

It is further speculated that the Xiaomi Redmi Go may be launched in India before the first quarter of 2019 ends. If the rumors are true, Indians and customers from other countries will enjoy a budget smartphone that's reportedly been approved and certified by SIRIM Malaysia, US FCC, and EEC.
