The rumors about Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin dating once again emerge, thanks to new photos now circulating online. On Monday, January 21, a couple of images revealed the "Memories of the Alhambra" star and the 37-year-old actress were shopping together at a grocery store. However, the two's agencies denied the assumptions and revealed an official statement about their alleged relationship.
"We checked with him personally, and the dating rumors are not true," Hyun Bin's agency, VAST Entertainment, said about the rumors that he and Son Ye Jin are dating, via Soompi. Allegedly, the 36-year-old actor heard that the "Something in the Rain" star is in the United States, so they met up together, but they were never alone.
The agency added that Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin were with some friends when they went grocery shopping. VAST Entertainment continued to say fans might only "misrepresented" their photos as there were other acquaintances with them at the time.
It went on to say that people misunderstand their closeness as they were both on the same age. The rumors were only got worse because Hyun Bin and Son Yejin were both famous personalities. "The dating rumors are not true," VAST Entertainment confirmed.
Son Ye Jin's agency, MS Team Entertainment, on the other hand, also released an official statement about the dating rumors surrounding its talent and Hyun Bin. "They hung out with their friends in a group, and they were with friends at the grocery store," it said, per the Korea Herald. It also confirmed that they are not dating.
The pictures in question showed Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin inside the grocery store. Hyun was wearing a black cap while Son Ye was donning a pair of dark sunglasses. From the looks of it, they were trying to hide their identities.
It was not the first time that Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin got surrounded by dating rumors. In an online community post on January 9, a netizen claimed the two were traveling together in Los Angeles.
Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin were seen "affectionately traveling together," and even seen eating with the latter's parents in the United States. At the time, her agency insisted that the online post was not true, and its talent was traveling alone. "She usually enjoys traveling alone," the company said.
MS Team Entertainment went on to say Son Ye Jin's parents were in Korea at the time and not with her in the United States. Hyun Bin's agency, alternatively, explained he was in the U.S. for business and personal reasons, and not traveling with Son Ye. The two had worked together in the 2018 movie "The Negotiation."
