"Mission: Impossible 7" will definitely come as the franchise is set to release two more installments after the success of "Mission: Impossible 6 - Fallout." The two new fan-favorites Henry Cavill and Alec Baldwin may return along with the franchise's much-loved characters.

According to Screen Rant, Henry Cavill and Alec Baldwin may return in "Mission: Impossible 7" through flashbacks. The returning director Christopher McQuarrie, who handled "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" and "Mission: Impossible - Fallout," has brought a lot of franchise favorites like Michelle Monaghan and Baldwin, so it is not far that the two may be seen in the next installment.

Henry Cavil has been the biggest addition in the franchise when Christopher McQuarrie introduced his character as CIA agent August Walker. Fans easily loved the "Man of Steel" for his appeal, mustache, and arm-reloading move. His death is also considered the franchise's best. Although Walker and IMF Secretary Alan Hunley (Alec Baldwin) are said to be "Fallout" casualties, they may still return to "Mission: Impossible 7" with McQuarrie's writing and directing.

The Hollywood Reporter reported Christopher McQuarrie is considering bringing Henry Cavill and Alec Baldwin back in "Mission: Impossible 7" and "Mission Impossible 8." However, things may change when the director finishes the movies' scripts. If the plan pushes through, they will return through flashbacks. But, it is not yet revealed if they would be in the two films or appear in the same or different scenes.

Meanwhile, aside from Henry Cavill and Alec Baldwin, fans will also see familiar faces and their much-loved characters in "Mission: Impossible 7." Of course, Tom Cruise will return to reprise his iconic role as Ethan Hunt. Ving Rhames will also be back, although he said Cruise is already old to perform death-defying stunts.

Fans will also see Simon Pegg return as Benji in "Mission: Impossible 7" after being in the franchise since "Mission: Impossible 3." "If I'm in it and they brought it up," he said, per Digital Spy. "These films are always so much fun to participate in and it's a nice thing to do for a job, running around saving the world."

Also, Angela Bassett will return in "Mission: Impossible 7" as Erica Sloan along with the newcomer Vanessa Kirby as Alanna Mitsopolis aka the White Widow. "Once you know somebody and how they work, it's really fun to play her in lots of different scenarios, I'd love that," the latter said.

Paramount confirmed that "Mission: Impossible 7" would be out in summer 2021. "Mission: Impossible 8," on the other hand, would be released a year after, in summer 2022.
