As "Encounter" comes to an end, Park Bo Gum talks about his acting stint as Kim Jin Hyuk and leading a role opposite Song Hye Kyo. The 25-year-old actor is also known as Song Joong Ki and BTS's good friend, so he also reveals their take on his series.
"First of all, it was amazing that I got to work with her," Park Bo Gum said about working with Song Hye Kyo in "Encounter," per Soompi. He continued to say the 37-year-old actress treated him and portrayed her character as Cha Soo Hyun very well that he could solely focus on playing his role.
Compared to him, Park Bo Gum admitted Song Hye Kyo is a senior when it comes to acting. So, he has a lot to learn from her. They also haven't experienced any difficulties on set with her professionalism.
Park Bo Gum also revealed he always talked to Song Hye Kyo to ask if he was doing well or portraying his character well. Talking about doing emotional scenes with the most popular Korean actress, he revealed he would only see himself tearing up. "It was a good experience for me," he said.
As Park Bo Gum is known as Song Joong Ki's good friend, fans were intrigued if Song Hye Kyo's husband told him anything about working with his wife in "Encounter." The "Music Bank" host said the 33-year-old star didn't say anything to him in particular because he might be busy filming "Asadal Chronicles."
Meanwhile, aside from Song Joong Ki, Park Bo Gum is also good friends with BTS's V. So when asked if V had watched "Encounter," he revealed the singer hasn't had the chance to do it because of his busy schedule.
However, according to AllKpop, other BTS members managed to watch "Encounter," and personally shared their thoughts about the series to him. "I was really thankful that they took time out of their busy schedule and gave me some feedback," he said.
Park Bo Gum also talked about his character as Kim Jin Hyuk in "Encounter." He described he was someone who knew how to value small things. He also believed he was a "very special person" for knowing how to return the love he received. So, he didn't have a hard time to play his role.
However, if there was one thing that they opposed, it was how they date. Park Bo Gum wanted to be more careful when dating while Jin Hyuk was more expressive. They were similar on how they think about their significant other, but he thinks more about how the other person feels.
