Kwanghee and G-Dragon are known to be good friends, but it looks like things have now changed. In a television guesting to help cast guess song lyrics on "Amazing Saturday," the 30-year-old star revealed the reason behind their friendship's fallout.
When a song came up, Kwanghee immediately knew it was a G-Dragon track. "It must be Jiyong," he said. The pals are on the same age; thus many fans believe they are sympathetic to each other, per Koreaboo.
So when the hosts asked if G-Dragon and Kwanghee are still friends, the latter said it is not the case. "You were saying my Jiyong my Jiyong. Do you still keep in touch with him these days?" the host questioned the TV personality, to which he simply answered "No."
In contrary to his belief that he would remain friends with G-Dragon forever, Kwanghee admitted things have changed. Things didn't work out for the two the way it should be. He went on to explain they opposed on personality.
G-Dragon was very calm while Kwanghee was very hyper. Hence, their personalities didn't match. The BigBang singer had a hard time to keep up with his manic attitude, so their friendship gradually fell apart.
Kwanghee and G-Dragon started to be friends when the former member of ZE: A graced an episode of "Radio Star" in March 2017. Soompi reported the "Vampire Idol" star revealed the favor he received from the 30-year-old rapper that left him a big impression.
Kwanghee became friends with G-Dragon and another BigBang member, Taeyang, when they teamed up for the "Infinite Challenge" music festival in 2016. Kim Gura even revealed Kwanghee had received a huge benefit because he was friends with the K-Pop idol.
"We don't contact each other very often, we only talk occasionally," Kwanghee said about G-Dragon at the time. Although their friends, he admitted that they couldn't go out and bond with each other often because of the "Crooked" hitmaker's busy schedule.
So when asked how they became friends if G-Dragon was too busy, Kwanghee said he didn't know how and when it happened, but they ended up as good pals. He then went on to a story about the time he wanted to go on a trip to Jeju Island to visit his friend's café. He told the hosts he phoned his friend and asked if he could eat there for free, which made everyone laughed. However, he didn't reveal if G-Dragon let him do that.
